Powered by a patented Cat Trac-drive system, Boom-Air® deploys and retracts up to 135 feet of usable 14-inch diameter insulated hose at speeds set for specific gate requirements. Designed for quick connect and disconnect the Boom-Air® unit becomes operational at the push of a button and is also designed for use with an optional remote control.

The Boom-Air® solution uses mandrel mechanics to keep hoses from collapsing, bending or restricting airflow. It also takes advantage of special polypropylene strips and a strain-relief design to better protect against binding, tracking problems or damage to the exit end of the hose.

The continuous, seamless hose is supplied exclusively by Twist Incorporated and comes complete with a standard 8-inch reducer for installation on any aircraft. To accomplish the hose reduction, Boom-Air® uses a single velcro seam.
